Ashwagandha is a non-toxic herb that is showing up in food and beverage products, nutraceuticals, supplements, and more. Specifically, ashwagandha’s stress-relieving effects, fertility and sexual health boost, and controlled levels of blood sugar are important to human health. We appreciate the claimed benefits of ashwagandha and are excited to aid our customers in using this ingredient in their products.
We are seeing ashwagandha being used in a variety of products and in a range of recipes promoting a sense of calm. Mixing ashwagandha with CBD as edibles has also become more popular, leading to a complex flavor profile induced by both main ingredients. After a series of lab tests, we masked ashwagandha powder’s bitter, earthy notes at low usage rates. We were also able to develop a successful formulation that masked both earthy-tasting ingredients when ashwagandha is mixed with CBD using TruClear™ and TruMask™. Lab tests were done using both ashwagandha extract and root powder.
